Yours Truly!

I decided to tell you some things about myself as an introduction to my blog.

• My ultimate obsession and favourite band in the whole world is The Beatles. I am probably the biggest Beatles fan my age that you will ever encounter! :)
• I was definitely born into the wrong era. My favourite decade in terms of fashion, music, etc. would have to be the '60s, and close after that comes the '50s and the '20s.
• I dropped out of school in Year 10. I didn't complete the entire grade - I finished 2 or 3 months before the end of the year and didn't take the School Certificate. All this happened when I was diagnosed with severe anxiety and depression. The Department of Education created my SC score by averaging out my yearly report cards.
• I have a passionate adoration for all animals. No matter how big or how small, I love them. I am much more comfortable with them than with humans. My favourites are giraffes and elephants.
• I am an introvert.
• I am a proud and very, very typical Scorpio.
• One piece of jewellery has never left my neck for the past 11 months and I hope it never will. It is a heart-shaped locket made out of white gold with the inscription 'Forever yours' engraved on the back. It was given to me by my boyfriend last Christmas.
• I always seem to be drawn to and feel incredibly close to tragic figures, eg. James Dean, Marilyn Monroe, Edie Sedgwick, Katherine Howard, and the last Romanov family.
• The school subject I was best at was English. My favourite was Drama. My least favourite and the one I was worst at was Maths.
• I enjoy reading books. I tend to like novels, but the last few books I've read have been biographies.
• I've always thought I would be more suited to living in England. I live in Australia and absolutely cannot stand the heat. I love colder weather.
• I am so not a fan of politics, but I really like President Obama.
• My favourite colour is lilac, and then grey.
• My favourite flowers are carnations. My boyfriend brought me a bouquet of them on our first date after discovering my love for them.
• The most beautiful character I have ever known about is Edward Scissorhands.
• My favourite food is sushi.
• I have a thing for red hair and grey eyes.
• I also have a thing for lingerie. I love thigh high stockings held up with garter belts, lace, satin... I just love gorgeous lingerie :)
• My hair is often mistaken for being black. It's actually a very dark brown. I did dye it black once - it made my hair shine blue under the light like Elvis Presley's. I tried dyeing it bright purple once, but my hair is so dark that nothing happened!
• I was raised a Catholic, but I don't put myself in one particular religious category. I take bits and pieces from any religion that I find beautiful. I do have an endless fascination with cathedrals though. The stained glass, stone structure and candles are so enchanting. One of my dreams is to visit Notre Dame.
• I inherited Filipino, Spanish, Italian backgrounds from my mother's side, and Uruguayan (South American) from my father's.
• I love guitars. I've played for 6 years and can never imagine giving it up.
